College Fjords in Prince William Sound, Alaska
My brother went on a back to back Alaskan cruise these last two weeks in May. He is cruising on the NCL Jade and loves cruising with Norwegian but if we could help it, we would never cruise with them again. He got on the ship in Vancouver, BC and cruised up to Whittier, Alaska and now he is on his way back. It is a mirror itinerary which means he is seeing the same ports twice. I was surprised to hear that his ship did not visit the College Fjords. Perhaps it is still frozen and the ship cannot enter or the ship is too large and cannot cruise through there. It is a narrow path and often, there is only one ship in the area at one time. When I took my parents to an Alaskan cruise in 2005, we flew up to Anchorage, Alaska and hired a limo to drive us from the airport to Whittier where the cruise port was.
